My name is Brian Bedard. I am currently the Registrar/Training and Development Specialist at Detroit Catholic Central High School, a Masters of Educational Technology graduate from Michigan State University and an Educ
ational Specialist student at Eastern Michigan University. I have taught all levels and grades of high school mathematics and Pre-Calculus, Intermediate Algebra, Introductory Algebra and Everyday Mathematics at Washtenaw Community College. I completed my undergrad degree at Central Michigan University where I did half of my student teaching in Remus, MI at Chippewa Hills Junior High School. The rest of my student teaching experience was completed in Perth, Western Australia, at Kent Street Senior High School, where I had the amazing opportunity to live with a local family and experience native culture and participate in community life and events.
I am a firm believer in challenging myself and taking advantage of every opportunity for new experiences, learning, and growth. Throughout my stay and during my travels home, I took advantage of a wide variety of excursions including repelling down a 100 m cliff on the Indian Ocean, learning about Aborigines, climbing the Sydney Bridge, learning about the Mauri people of New Zealand and scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef.
I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, watching movies, watching and playing sports and doing work around the house. I am married with two wonderful daughters.
